Organized and sponsored Truckee’s National Day of Climate Action in conjunction with Step It Up, April 14

Created the Truckee Climate Action Network web site 

TCAN members led the Pledge Flag project, engaging hundreds of local school children and producing 1,000 handmade flags to display at Step It Up and Earth Day 2007

Began blogging for “Saving the Sierra” , Voices of Conservation In Action

Received a 10K grant to implement the town’s first free light bulb distribution program; provided 2,100 free CFL’s to over 600 residents in Truckee at Mountain Hardware over two weekends

Provided a free CFL changeout for Glenshire Clubhouse and Claire Tappan Lodge

Obtained a grant from the Northern California Grassroots Fund for help with operating & capacity building expenses

Supported the SBC’s Think Local First week

Worked with the TDPUD on a low income lighting program, and with Sierra College Institute for Sustainability, Town of Truckee, SIGBA and others....collaboration ongoing.
